Mrs. Jazz

The Mrs. Jazz is the closest to an archtop guitar that Leo has ventured, given his preference for solid-body guitars. The top is textured by hand—each line carved and filled with colored wood—and the back is made of a highly figured Ziricote piece. The knobs came from a real vintage radio, and the pickguard was handmade from an old piece of (non-endangered) black wood. A flamed maple neck contributes to the 1930s notes of the design.(Text: Gardenia Fair, from “Catalogue Raisonné – Leo Lospennato Guitars”)
